Andy Tian, CEO and Co-Founder of Asia Innovations Group, has died at 47

PingWest has learned that Andy Tian, CEO and Co-Founder of Asia Innovations Group (AIG), has passed away on February 6th at the age of  47 from an unexpected sudden illness.

The news of Andy’s death has sent shockwaves through the tech community, as Andy was widely regarded as a visionary entrepreneur and a leader in the mobile internet industry.

Andy was born in Sichuan, China, and moved to New York at a young age. He has started his career in Silicon Valley, spanning from XPD media (self-started) to Zynga, and to Google in Greater China. 

Andy later co-founded AIG, which became one successful tech startup in Asia. Under his leadership, AIG’s mobile media apps amassed 410 million users in over 150 countries, making notable contributions to the development of mobile technology, particularly in the areas of gaming, e-commerce, and social media.

Andy was a close friend of PingWest. Over the years, he sat down with PingWest many times, engaging in discussions and imparting his knowledge and vision on the global impact of tech companies. Andy’s remarks earned him high regard and solidified his reputation as an expert in the field.
